WORLD WAR II VETERAN
DEDICATED TO ESCORTING
VETERANS BACK TO EUROPE
Perhaps the
only WWII veteran in the United States who escorts tours back to the battlefields in
Europe, where he too once served, is a retired South Dakota
doctor, Brooks Ranney of Yankton. He and his wife Vi, have dedicated their lives to escorting our aging veterans, their
families and friends, back to these historic places. The 12-day tour planned for a July 5, 2006 departure will fly
into Paris, then visit French cities of Carentan, St. Mere Eglise, (where a special ceremony will be held honoring our
Veterans), Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, St. Lo, the Palace of Versailles, Paris, Compiegne and Rheims. Other
tour highlights are Luxembourg and the American Cemetery where General Patton is buried, Belgium with Battle of the Bulge
areas and then into Germany. Cologne, The Remagen Bridge, a Rhine
River cruise, Weimar and the Concentration Camp at
Buchenwald, Dresden and Berlin
conclude the tour. If you wish to join the Ranneys call (605) 665-3596 or E-mail:viranney@mchsi.com
